The Starland Vocal Band Show was a summer replacement variety show broadcast on CBS for six weeks in the summer of 1977 that starred the members of the American pop band Starland Vocal Band.

This time, cancer picked the wrong man. Radio DJ Chuck Berger's wife wants to leave him, his boss wants to fire him, and if this wasn't enough – his testicle wants to kill him. After getting diagnosed with testicular cancer, Chuck's afraid he'll be a man without any balls whatsoever. As he bares his soul and makes people laugh on air, his radio show becomes extremely popular.

Nirvana the Band the Show is a 2007–09 independent Canadian mockumentary web series created and written by Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol, who play fictionalized versions of themselves as they attempt to achieve their dream of playing at a small Toronto venue, the Rivoli, through a series of various schemes and publicity stunts. The viral success of the eleven produced episodes spawned a Viceland series of (almost) the same name, Nirvanna the Band the Show (2017–18), and a feature film, Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie (2025).
